This beautifully constructed bracelet is a wonderful example of fine Mexican silver jewelry. A glossy jasper cabochon is bezel set in sterling silver. The bracelet's arms are hinged on both sides of the decorative top. Sleek geometric shapes form the arms of the bracelet, they wrap entirely around and clasp securely at the back of the wrist. The clasp is signed FARFAN, Hecho en Mexico, with an eagle symbol and the number 13.
This piece dates to the Mid 20th Century, a high point in Mexican silver jewelry design. Mexico drew jewelry artists from all over the world. The main attraction for the designers and studio jewelers was the locally mined supply of materials, silver and semi precious gems were abundant and affordable.
Details.....The bracelet has an inside diameter of 7.25". The top measures 1.12" by 0.85", the sides are 0.77" wide. In Excellent vintage condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of its charm.
