A pretty pair of silver earrings shaped like little flower pods. Made using the repoussé metalworking technique that gives this piece its three-dimensional quality. The earrings are screw backs, easy to wear whether your ears are pierced or not. Signed on the back of each earring "Spratling Silver" in an oval, Spratling's 1940s mark.

William Spratling (1900 – 1967) was an American-born artist and silver designer, best known for his influence on 20th century Mexican silver design. In 1931 Spratling decided to reestablish a silver industry in Taxco, Mexico, a traditional site of silver mines with no native silverworking industry. Spratling based his designs primarily on pre-Columbian and traditional motifs, and was the primary designer for his workshop Taller de las Delicias.

Details.....The earrings measure 0.77" in diameter. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
