This lovely Kalo "puffy" brooch has a secret...a folding bale that transforms the pin into a pendant. Sterling silver has been hand wrought into a stylized dogwood tree. Circa 1930.
Kalo jewelry was well known for making "puffy" pins: slightly convex or "puffed out" saw-pierced forms of chased and repoussé cherries, flowers, pineapples, or arrangements of leaves and vines.
Details.....The brooch measures 2.03" across. It weighs 23.9 grams. In Very Good Antique condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it part of the charm.
