Silver & Lapis Cherry Motif Arts & Crafts Brooch

This Arts & Crafts brooch marries soft organic lines to strange geometry, punctuated with brilliant blue lapis lazuli. The 800 silver brooch is heart-shaped. Stylized tree branches hang over the heart, the boughs are heavy with cherries. An inverted lapis teardrop is center-set. Polished high points and oxidized lows give this attractive piece depth. The brooch fastens with the c-clasp common to the era. Marked "800" on its back. Circa 1910.
