Darkly romantic and rich with gothic drama. A deep red garnet is presented by six slinky snakes in this incredible Victorian ring. Each side of the 10k rose gold ring is formed by three twining snakes, each heavily engraved. The snakes hold the wine-dark garnet in their mouths. Jewels in the form of snakes were often given as love tokens in the Victorian era, they symbolize eternal love. This ring would make a lovely engagement or wedding ring, its beauty speaks to the connection and contentment of two beings. Circa 1860.
