The very best glass in the early 20th century was made in Czechoslovakia. This necklace is a lovely example of the fine costume jewels they created with their glass beads and gems. Faceted blue glass beads and filigreed jewelers brass make up the length of this necklace and highly decorated metal plaques are set with rose cut glass gems and an emerald cut in the center of the central decoration. Generous swaths of fringe cascade from the pendant, one bead is slightly different than the others but it came this way and is barely noticeable on close examination. All original and dating from the 1930's, The clasp is barrel style.
Details.....The wearable length of the necklace is 17.5" the beads measure 6.9mm, the side panels measure .95" x .44", the main pendant measures 1.64" x 1.11" and the fringe drop is 4.25". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
