Starry-Flower Diamond Ring in Platinum & 18ct Gold

This starry-flower ring employs the luxurious English technique of layering diamond-spangled platinum over rich 18ct yellow gold. The delightful diamond cluster ring resembles a cheerful daisy, with a bright star twinkling at its heart. Seven wee diamonds, with a .07tcw, are nestled in scalloped platinum settings. Delicate milgrain engraving surrounds the stones and traces out the six-rayed star. The decorative top is layered over a pretty low-profiled 18ct gold gallery, pinched shoulders, and a slender band. Such a sunny piece; you will smile every time you look at it. Circa 1900.
