Striking sterling silver shield earrings, set with mercurial hematite. The elaborately worked shields have polished high points and oxidized low points, a dramatic contrast that emphasizes the earrings ornamentation. Oval hematites are center set in sleek bezels, framed in tiny silver beads. The flat shields sit on stationary French ear wires. Circa 1970.
Details.....The earrings are 1.90" long, and the shields measure .98" by 1.66". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
