Stunning Turquoise in Handsome Silver Ring

Stunning turquoise set in a handsome silver ring. A softened triangle of bright blue turquoise shattered with a dark, silvery matrix. The stone is bezel set on a flat silver plaque, framed in twisted wire and delicate silver beads. Triple-split shoulders taper into a slim band. The mesmerizing turquoise likely hails from the Morenci mine. A striking unsigned Navajo ring in a nice, large size. Circa 1970.

The Morenci turquoise mine is located in Southeastern Arizona and began operation in 1864. This mine produces a wide range of colors; the most desirable turquoise is a deep blue color with a heavy iron pyrite matrix.

Details..... Currently a size 9.5. The top of the ring measures 1.24" by 1.47", and the band is 2.6mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear; we consider it part of their charm.
