Substantial 18ct Gold Sapphire & Diamond Band

A stunner of a Victorian band, with sparkling gems set in rich, heavy 18ct gold. We have a wide selection of sapphire rings in this genre; this one is the stand out. The decorative top of the ring is an eye-shaped oval. An azure sapphire is inset at its center, like a pupil. Two smaller sapphires are set in each outer corner; two wee diamonds are set horizontally between each of the gems, like colons. The substantial shoulders of the ring are deeply carved with stylized acanthus leaves. This curvy band is top heavy, almost like a signet ring, and has a very satisfying weight. This ring bears the hallmarks for England, Birmingham, 18ct, and 1852-53.

Details.....Currently a size 5.25. This ring may be sized up or down two sizes free of charge. The top of the band measures 18mm by 7.6mm and tapers to 2.6mm wide at the back. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear; we consider it part of their charm.
