Superb 1.03ct Marquise Cut Diamond in Gold Butterfly Ring

A superb 1.03ct marquise cut diamond set in a 14k gold butterfly ring. The dazzling VVS2 clarity diamond is displayed in a raised white gold head, with prongs at the sides and v-caps protecting the points. The glossy gold band flares out like the wings of a butterfly, then tapers into a wide, flat band. Classic Modernist styling with a (really) great diamond. Circa 1970.

This ring comes with an insurance replacement cost appraisal done by an independent gem lab. The appraised value is $6800.

Diamond Details.....The 1.03ct marquise-shaped brilliant cut diamond has a VVS2 clarity and I-J color.

Details.....Currently a size 6.75. The top of the ring measures 5.9mm by 10.9mm, and the band is 4mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
