Three Strand Akoya Pearl Necklace with 18k Clasp

Three Princes-length strands of frothy Akoya pearls fasten with a glamorous 18k gold clasp that holds a little secret. The very well-matched cultured pearls are rich and creamy, hand knotted on white silk. The clasp is a substantial sphere of 18k yellow gold, hammered with a texture that gives the classic necklace a sophisticated modern vibe. Surprise surprise, when you unscrew the clasp a secret compartment is revealed, just the right size to stash all sorts of little things. Circa 1980.

Gem Details.....One hundred eighty-eight Akoya cultured pearls have a light to medium cream with rosé overtones color, with good to very good luster and nacre quality.
