So good. This necklace was created by a true artist, each turquoise stone chosen for its color and distribution of matrix. The gems enhanced by the color of the gold and perfectly contrasted by the silver set old mine cut diamond in the center of the drop. The gold is 15k, a popular gold fineness in Great Britain at the time, circa 1890. The diamond and its setting predate this by about 40 years giving it a date of circa 1850, an example that the re-purposing of gems has always been in fashion.
