This wonderful locket is shaped like an antique book. It opens by lifting a little gold strap and when open the inside looks like a lovely little arched altar. There is enough depth to hold a picture and a lock of hair. The locket is 15k gold and the chain 14k. The locket is circa 1880. The hand engraving is beautiful.
Details.....The locket measures 1.06" x .88" the chain is 16" long and a new replacement. In very good vintage condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
