Unusual Georgian Gold Ring Hallmarked France
A beautiful and unusual French ring dating to the Georgian era. A decorative, rectangular top sits above highly detailed shoulders that are applied to a thin cigar band. The three dimensional detail is created using applied work and the repoussé jewelry making technique favored by the metal smiths of the period. The ring tests for 10k to 12k gold. This wonderful ring is hallmarked on the outside of the band for France. Circa 1820-1840.
Details....Currently a size 8.5, we will size this ring free of charge. The top of the ring measures 11.9mm wide, 3.5mm at the back of the band. In Very Good antique condition. With vintage and antique pieces some light wear is to be expected and considered part of the charm.
