Victorian Gold Band with Aqua Beryl and Crystal Gems

London Calling

Beautifully hand engraved 15k yellow gold band set with three aqua beryl and two quartz crystal gems. In the 18th and 19th century it was all about the color they wanted in a ring and if a certain color of gem was unavailable they would use paste gems. Paste is a term to describe, crystal, glass or strass. It is also often found in traveling jewelry, as ladies would leave their "good" jewelry at home when traveling. This ring is hallmarked for Chester England, 15ct, and the year 1860.
