Victorian Grand Period OMC Diamond Solitaire

This antique diamond engagement ring is a dream for lovers of Victoriana. A chunky 0.35ct cushion old mine cut diamond sits prominently in a fancy six prong claw setting. The shoulders of the 18k gold band are richly detailed with hand engraving and applied gold designs. The wide, flat band is marked 18 and engraved with the personal inscription "W.F.C. to A.F.B. Oct.23."/80." This wonderful ring reflects the unique design sensibility of the Victorian Grand Period. Circa 1880.
