Black tracery enamel Ivy leaves decorate this Victorian Pin and Earring set. The set is gold filled, the long wearing alternative to gold that was popular in the last quarter of the 19th century, the ear wires are modern replacements and are 14k gold. The language of flowers was quite popular in the 1800's and Ivy represents Friendship, Fidelity, and Marriage. These were likely a token of love. Circa 1880.
Details.....The earrings have a 2.04" drop from the ear and are .66" wide. The brooch measures 1.25" by 1.89". In Very Good Antique condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels.
