This pretty brooch is enameled in earth tones and signed on the back Matisse.

From the late 1940's to the mid-1960's Copper jewels were all the rage. From designer firms, Renoir and Matisse, to unsigned small studio artist pieces this trend produced fabulous wearable art. The colors of the enamels and the interesting designs make these pieces sought after collectibles.
