A lovely necklace of Venetian lamp wound pink opaline foiled beads hand knotted and spaced with faceted glass. Circa 1920. Lamp wound beads are made by winding molten glass around a metal wire, a centuries old technique, it produces beautiful beads allowing for more than one color or layer of molten glass. These beads have a layer of silver foil between the layers of glass.
