This stunning and highly detailed 18k white gold filigree ring was made by Belais in the 1920's. Set with a .95 ct old mine cut diamond, and covered in hand engraved details this would make a lovely and unique engagement ring. The shoulders are engraved with forget-me-not flowers and the beautiful filigree open work at the top is mill grained and highlighted with more hand engraving. Even the band of the ring is decorated, covered in a trailing garland design all the way around.
The name Belais is an important one in 20th century American Jewelry manufacturing. Not only did they craft some of the finest quality filigree pieces of the era, they also developed and held the patent for white gold in the US.
