West German Black & White Glass Dangle Earrings

Fun West German dangle earrings with graphic black and frosted clear glass beads. The round black glass earring tops are screw backs. Screw back earrings were the fashion of the time, clip or screw on earrings were primarily a 20th Century trend. The screws have a fascinating mechanical construction that allows you to adjust the pressure on your ear lobe. The drop is formed by black glass flower beads sitting atop two round frosted beads of graduated size. Back is marked "WESTERN GERMANY." Circa 1960.

German jewelry made after 1949 and until Germany was reunified in 1990 is marked "Western Germany."

Details.....The earrings measure 1.9" long and the largest bead measures 13.4mm across. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
