This elegant two tone wedding band pairs 14k yellow gold and palladium. This slim band is set across the top with seven tiny diamonds in a panel of palladium. The gem set palladium lays atop the gold body of the ring. The gold is engraved with little triangles at the shoulders and the band has a subtle knife edge. This ring has clean, architectural lines with a pleasing Retro design aesthetic. The inside of the band is marked 14k, PD (for palladium) and TCP. Circa 1940.

During the 1940s two tone jewelry was all the rage. Prior to the USA's involvement in WW2, platinum and white gold were the most common white precious metals used to achieve this look. During the war both platinum and the alloys used in white gold were reserved for the war effort, therefore palladium came to be used in jewelry instead. When we find a two tone jewel marked for palladium this dates the piece easily to the first half of the 1940s.

You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it part of the charm.
