Zuni Cuff with Turquoise & Silver Overlay by Escalio

This slim Zuni cuff bracelet is a signed piece with beautiful details. The cuff is a flat, narrow band of sterling silver. Seven gorgeous turquoise stones have been cut and polished into diamond shapes. They are set in hand cut bezels within an overlay pattern of diamonds and teardrops. Overlay is a technique in which a carved layer of polished silver is applied to a layer of oxidized silver creating a shadow box effect of contrasting light and dark. Silver beads are set at the interstices of the overlay shapes. This cuff has an irresistible understated drama. Circa 1970.

The interior of the cuff is signed "L. Esalalio" for Zuni silversmith Lawrence Escalio. The reason for the difference in Escalio's name and signature is due to an error in ordering his signature stamp.

How can you tell if a cuff bracelet is your size? Measure the top of your wrist from side to side and compare with the inside measurement of the cuff. If this bracelet does not fit easily on your wrist it is not your size. Please do not bend or force the cuff, either the cuff or your wrist may be damaged. Instead, contact us to arrange a return or exchange. We will not return or exchange a bent or damaged cuff.

Details.....The cuff measures 2.28" across the interior and it is 0.40" wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. All vintage items will show some wear, it is considered part of their charm.
